Een rode wijn uit Ribera del Duero<\/h4>\n

Somanilla Crianza markeerde het begin van het verhaal van Bodegas Hercal en blijft een van de meest emblematische wijnen. Voor het eerst uitgebracht in 2008, zette het de toon voor de stijl van de familie in Ribera del Duero. De druiven komen van wijngaarden gelegen tussen 800 en 1.000 meter hoogte, waar kalkrijke bodems samensmelten met gebieden van zandige leem. Deze mix, samen met het opvallende verschil tussen warme dagen en koele nachten, zorgt voor fruit met zowel intensiteit als frisheid. Dankzij wijnstokken van 10 tot 30 jaar oud, brengt de oogst diepte en karakter aan elke jaargang.<\/p>\n

De kunst van Tempranillo<\/h4>\n

De familie Casado werkt met een filosofie van minimale interventie die de natuurlijke ritmes van de wijngaard respecteert. De fermentatie is spontaan, geleid door de inheemse gisten op de druivenschillen, wat authenticiteit en een directe verbinding met het terroir garandeert. Tegelijkertijd helpen zachte overpompen tijdens de vinificatie om een gebalanceerde extractie te bereiken. De malolactische fermentatie volgt natuurlijk op de droesem, wat rondheid en een fluweelzachte textuur toevoegt. Daarna rust de wijn 16 maanden in een combinatie van Franse en Amerikaanse eiken vaten, wat structuur, specerijen en complexiteit verleent zonder het fruit te overschaduwen.<\/p>\n

Traditie, Plaats en Identiteit<\/h4>\n

Elke fles Somanilla Crianza draagt de geest van Ribera del Duero en het erfgoed van de familie Casado. De wijnmakerij staat in Roa, naast een middeleeuwse muur uit de 13e eeuw, en de 19e-eeuwse ondergrondse kelder biedt nog steeds ideale omstandigheden voor rijping. Deze verbinding tussen geschiedenis en vakmanschap geeft de wijn een unieke identiteit. Bovendien benadrukt de naam Somanilla de lokale traditie en onderstreept het de toewijding van de wijnmakerij aan authenticiteit.
