Mudèfer Criança Blanc

Mudèfer Criança Blanc is the most elegant and mature expression of Garnacha Blanca in Terra Alta. Its name pays tribute to Mount Mudèfer, a natural landmark that dominates the local landscape and shelters the winery’s oldest vineyards.

These old vines grow on natural terraces over “panal” soils, a formation of fossilised sand unique to the region. At altitudes between 400 and 550 metres, and surrounded by forests, they thrive in a privileged environment. Annual rainfall is usually under 400 mm, which, combined with warm Mediterranean days and cooling winds, allows healthy, low-intervention viticulture. The result is fruit that captures the purest expression of the terroir.

Winemaking follows a precise and respectful approach. The must ferments at low temperature in stainless steel tanks to preserve all the aromatic purity of Garnacha Blanca. The wine then rests for six to eight months on its lees in French oak barrels. This stage adds volume, creamy texture, and the structure required for graceful evolution in bottle.

The finished wine offers remarkable aromatic complexity, with ripe white fruit, dried flowers, candied citrus, and delicate oak nuances. On the palate, it is broad, vibrant, and refined. Freshness supports its mineral character and extends the finish, leaving an elegant and persistent impression.
