Surrealista Rosat

Surrealista Rosat is born in Alt Empordà, where slate soils and Mediterranean breezes define the character of the vines. This rosé brings together Lledoner Negre (Garnacha Negra) and Lledoner Roig (Garnacha Roja), two native grapes that capture the freshness and delicacy of the region. The short skin contact and gentle pressing give the wine its pale, almost ethereal color, reminiscent of the most elegant Mediterranean rosés.

The process respects the fruit from start to finish. A cold maceration extracts just enough aroma and tone before fermentation at very low temperatures preserves the crisp, pure expression of red fruit and citrus. Aging on fine lees for two months with bâtonnage enriches the texture, giving finesse without losing freshness. As a result, the wine achieves balance between delicacy, volume, and mineral tension.

The name Surrealista connects this rosé with the artistic soul of Empordà, a land that inspired Salvador Dalí and the surrealist movement. Just as art transforms light into emotion, this wine transforms Garnacha into a rosé of elegance, purity, and modern style. With its delicate structure and vibrant finish, Surrealista Rosat is a versatile companion for light tapas, summer salads with fruit, seafood rice or even sushi. Only 2,000 bottles are made, making it an artisanal and limited rosé that embodies Mediterranean subtlety at its finest.

PRODUCTION METHOD

Surrealista Rosat is crafted from 70% Lledoner Negre and 30% Lledoner Roig, local Empordà names for Garnacha Negra and Garnacha Gris or Garnacha Roja. The vines, aged between 20 and 40 years, grow on slate soils in Garriguella, shaped by the Tramuntana wind. After a short cold maceration to extract a delicate pale color, the grapes are destemmed and softly pressed in a pneumatic press. Only the free-run juice and first gentle press are used. Fermentation takes place at low temperature, under 15ºC, to preserve fruit purity and aromatic finesse. The wine then rests two months on fine lees with bâtonnage every three days to add subtle texture and complexity.

AGING

Two months on fine lees with bâtonnage, enhancing freshness while giving silkiness and depth.

TASTING NOTE

Very pale pink, with reflections of onion skin and light salmon, elegant and luminous. The nose is refined and subtle, with aromas of wild strawberries, raspberries, citrus zest, white flowers, and a delicate herbal and aniseed hint. On the palate, it enters lightly and vividly, with well-integrated acidity. The texture is silky and refreshing, leading to a clean, saline and citrus finish that lingers with precision and elegance.
