Creveta Blanc

Creveta Blanc comes from Terra Alta, one of Spain’s most distinctive regions for Garnacha Blanca. Locally, the variety is known in Catalan as Garnatxa Blanca. Produced by Celler La Botera in Batea, the wine reflects a clear and regional approach to Spanish white wine. It brings together a defined origin, an indigenous variety, and a visual identity linked to roads, land, and local memory.

The name Creveta evokes a small cross, a discreet sign along the road. It does not suggest a grand gesture. Instead, it recalls a quiet mark in the landscape. These signs guide the traveler and show that every route can have a meeting point. The label carries the phrase “On els camins es troben,” meaning “where the roads meet.” As a result, the name strengthens the wine’s bond with Terra Alta. It also speaks of a place shaped by crossing winds, paths, and generations.

Creveta Blanc stands between the inland hills and the Mediterranean. It also stands between Batea’s winegrowing tradition and a fresh, direct way of understanding wine. Therefore, Creveta Blanc Garnacha Blanca expresses the most accessible and sincere side of Celler La Botera. Its commercial value lies in that clarity. The wine is easy to understand, yet it carries enough story to stand apart in a professional Spanish wine selection.

For importers, distributors, and sommeliers, this Garnacha Blanca from DO Terra Alta offers a strong and simple message. It combines a local grape variety with growing recognition, a clear Mediterranean origin, and clean branding. Moreover, its story feels authentic and free from artifice. The wine shows the approachable face of Terra Alta. Above all, it carries the quiet strength of vineyards, light, wind, and a winery that keeps the character of its landscape alive.

PRODUCTION METHOD

Creveta Blanc is made exclusively from Garnacha Blanca, with fermentation carried out at controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks to preserve the grape’s clean varietal expression. After alcoholic fermentation, the wine remains in contact with fine lees, a choice that adds softness and roundness without moving it away from its young, direct profile. This method gives the wine commercial clarity: a pure Terra Alta white built around freshness, texture, and varietal precision rather than oak influence.

AGING

Produced as a young wine, with no extended maturation and handled in stainless steel before bottling, preserving a clean profile while supporting a rounded mouthfeel.

TASTING NOTE

Bright pale yellow in the glass, with a lively aromatic spectrum shaped by white fruit, citrus peel, Mediterranean herbs, and a subtle almond nuance typical of well-handled Garnacha Blanca. The palate is fresh and rounded, balancing gentle volume with clear acidity and a clean, easy finish. The profile aligns with Terra Alta’s white wines, often described as pale, fresh, broad, and strongly linked to Garnacha Blanca.
