Bruna Dolçor Negre
runa Dolçor Negre is the sweet red treasure of Celler La Botera, created entirely from late-harvest Garnacha Negra. Part of the Bruna collection, it is dedicated to wines with natural sweetness, depth, and refined elegance. The name reflects the warm light of Terra Alta and the richness of its autumn harvests.
The grapes are harvested between late October and early November, when the berries show peak ripeness, high sugar content, and complex aromatics. Hand selection ensures only the finest fruit makes it to the cellar. Gentle pressing protects the grape’s aromatic integrity, while the slow fermentation is carefully stopped by chilling the must, preserving natural sugars and achieving a vibrant balance between sweetness and acidity.
Aging takes place over 8 to 10 months in oak barrels. During this period, the wine gains roundness and aromatic layers, with oak contributing soft notes of spice and cocoa that enhance the Garnacha Negra’s ripe fruit profile.
In the glass, Bruna Dolçor Negre presents a deep garnet hue. Aromas of blackberries, cherries, and plums mingle with hints of chocolate, vanilla, and a gentle touch of spice. On the palate, it is lush yet balanced, with a silky mouthfeel and a long, satisfying finish. This wine pairs beautifully with dark chocolate desserts, blue cheeses, or can be enjoyed on its own as an indulgent after-dinner pleasure. Therefore, Bruna Dolçor Negre stands as a testament to the art of late harvest winemaking in Terra Alta.
