MOFO Roble
A Wild Child from Toro
MOFO Roble, nicknamed The Wild Child, is an ode to the untamed energy of Tinta de Toro. Coming from vines 25 to 40 years old, it captures the raw spirit of Toro and bottles it with attitude and authenticity.
The Harsh Beauty of Toro
The region of Toro in Zamora is one of Spain’s most extreme terroirs. Vineyards stretch between 620 and 750 meters in altitude, rooted in sandy and clay soils often covered with pebbles. The continental climate is unforgiving, with scorching summers, freezing winters and scarce rainfall. These conditions force the vines to dig deep and fight for survival, creating grapes with remarkable concentration, thick skins and powerful tannins.
Vibrant and Uncompromising
MOFO Roble does not hold back. The fruit is bold and ripe, but the wine also carries mineral freshness, subtle toasted notes and a balance that keeps it gastronomic. Between six and eight months in oak barrels, mainly French with a touch of American, round out its structure without masking its character. The result is a red that is muscular and direct, yet balanced and versatile.
A Wine Without Rules
The Wild Child is not a nickname by chance. This wine has earned its name glass by glass. It is powerful, youthful and fearless. It works beautifully with grilled meats, spiced stews, cured charcuterie or smoked dishes. At the same time, it has the wild energy that invites you to drink it on its own, without rules, simply for the pleasure of freedom.
