Surrealista Blanc

The Essence of Empordà

Surrealista Blanc reflects the landscape of Alt Empordà, where vineyards coexist with olive groves, stone walls and the Tramuntana wind. The vines grow on slate soils that transmit a clear mineral identity. Here the Mediterranean Sea and the Pyrenees meet, shaping a unique environment that gives the wines freshness and depth.

Lledoner Blanc, Tradition with a Modern Spirit

The soul of this wine is Lledoner Blanc, the local name for Garnacha Blanca. In Garriguella it has found its perfect home, adding body, texture and a subtle saline note. Macabeo completes the blend with freshness and lightness. Together they create a white wine that respects tradition while embracing modern winemaking. Fermentation takes place at low temperature to protect aromas. Afterward, the wine rests on fine lees for three months with regular bâtonnage, which adds creaminess and complexity. As a result, it achieves balance between fruit, minerality and structure.

A Wine Inspired by Art and Landscape

Beyond technique, Surrealista Blanc tells the story of a region that has inspired creativity for centuries. Garriguella lies at the gateway to Cap de Creus, an area admired for its surreal light. The name recalls Salvador Dalí, who blurred the limits between dream and reality. This wine does the same, combining authenticity with imagination. Thanks to its balance, it pairs naturally with Mediterranean cuisine such as fish with citrus, seafood rice or light Asian dishes. Produced in only 4,000 bottles, it offers the essence of a land where nature, history and art converge in every sip.

PRODUCTION METHOD
Surrealista Blanc is crafted from 90% Lledoner Blanc and 10% Macabeo, grown on vines between 20 and 40 years old in Garriguella, at the heart of Alt Empordà. Lledoner Blanc is the local name for Garnacha Blanca, a grape deeply rooted in Empordà and highly expressive on its slate soils. The grapes are destemmed and gently pressed in a pneumatic press without maceration. Only the free-run juice and the first soft press are used, ensuring purity and finesse. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of 15ºC to preserve the bright aromatic profile. Afterward, the wine rests on its fine lees for three months, with bâtonnage every three days to enhance complexity and mouthfeel.
AGING
Three months on fine lees with periodic bâtonnage, which adds texture, depth, and subtle notes of pastry while keeping the wine fresh.
TASTING NOTE
Pale yellow with greenish reflections, clean and luminous. On the nose, it unfolds aromas of fresh pear and green apple, complemented by lemon and grapefruit, along with floral and subtle anise notes. The time on lees contributes delicate hints of almond and sponge cake. The palate is lively and silky at once, balancing freshness with volume. The finish is long and precise, marked by citrus and a gentle saline touch that reflects the Empordà’s marine influence.
