3 Pueblos Tinto Fino

3 Pueblos Tinto Fino is a tribute to Ribera del Duero, one of Spain’s most iconic wine regions. It comes from high-altitude vineyards in Burgos where Tinta Fina, the local name for Tempranillo, thrives between 800 and 1,000 meters above sea level. This elevation creates a unique climate: warm days that promote ripeness and cool nights that preserve acidity, producing wines with balance and longevity.

The vineyards extend across three historic villages: Fuentelcésped, San Juan del Monte and Peñaranda de Duero. Each village brings a distinctive nuance to the final blend. Calcareous soils provide firmness and minerality, while sandy plots contribute finesse and aromatic lift. Vines of 10 to 30 years deliver concentrated grapes that still retain energy, ideal for expressing the essence of Ribera del Duero.

The winemaking process is precise and respectful. Grapes are destemmed and fermented slowly in stainless steel tanks with daily pump-overs for a delicate extraction. Malolactic fermentation takes place on the lees, adding roundness and complexity. The wine then spends six months in French oak barrels, gaining subtle toasted and smoky touches that integrate seamlessly with the fruit. After resting in bottle, it emerges polished and elegant.

3 Pueblos Tinto Fino embodies the character of Ribera del Duero. It is powerful yet refined, fruity yet mineral, traditional yet approachable. The name reflects the spirit of collaboration between three villages united in one philosophy. It pairs beautifully with roasted lamb, pork or a wide selection of tapas, making it a versatile and authentic companion for gastronomy.

PRODUCTION METHOD
3 Pueblos Tinto Fino is made from 100% Tinta Fina (Tempranillo) sourced from vineyards aged between 10 and 30 years, located at altitudes of 800 to 1,000 meters in Fuentelcésped, San Juan del Monte, and Peñaranda de Duero (Burgos). The soils are mostly calcareous with some sandy-loam areas, giving the grape both structure and freshness. After destemming, fermentation takes place over 21 days in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks with two daily pump-overs to extract color and aromas. Once fermentation is complete, the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation on its lees before racking.
AGING
Aged for 6 months in high-quality French oak barrels, followed by further refinement in bottle, which enhances elegance and balance.
TASTING NOTE
Deep cherry red with violet reflections and high intensity. On the nose, it is expressive and direct, with aromas of ripe black fruits, subtle herbal notes, and a toasted finish with gentle smoky hints. The palate is fresh and elegant, marked by mineral notes typical of the region’s soils, plenty of ripe fruit, and a harmonious structure that leaves a lasting impression.
